The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, it's that it's too low and we reach it. Michelangelo.
Oooooh this week is a toughie! Being away from home and being healthy and happy is HARD! Part of me doesn't even want to write this because I just want to be at home and I'm getting frustrated, but I have committed and this will surely count as some sort of therapy for me.. maybe!?
Today has been ok, mainly fruity, which isn't a good thing with all that sugar, but at least it wasn't a chocolate bar. Lunch was good after searching for something good to eat. By the way - how many EAT, Pret, Costa, Starbucks are there per square mile in the city of London - it's ridiculous. Anyway, I had a pretty healthy lunch, but you will notice from my diary no dinner and again no protein shake. It's all going a bit wrong this week.
However, on the positive, I made a complete fool of myself at 80's Aerobics this evening which was great. I haven't done anything like that for years.
Oh and something else positive (can't believe I nearly forgot this!). The lovely lady I am training from Atlanta gave me the best compliment today (and two other times since I met her on Tuesday). She said she couldn't get over my arms and how toned they are! She said (and to quote her) "I was in a meeting with you on the first day and you took your jacket off and I couldn't concentrate on what you were saying because all I was thinking was WOW look at her arms". That, my friends, made my day. Shame it doesn't translate in my photos in this blog! Maybe I need to get my Arnie on and give you a gun show shot :)
So tomorrow I am still in London but travelling back home late afternoon. Going to get some normality back in my life. I can't wait to see my little girl, get a hug from my hubby and not have to rely on a food outlet or hotel for my meals.
The woes of a little hobo... :)
